Grants process

Applied for a grant and not sure what happens next?

Grant programs often take many months to progress from the application stage all the way through to notification, please refer to each program's guidelines for an indication of timelines.

Once an application has been submitted through SmartyGrants, typically the following process occurs:

Screening

The application is screened to ensure that all questions have been answered, important documents are attached and (if applicable) the applicant has no outstanding reporting requirements.

Assessment

An assessment panel is established and assessed all applications and makes suggested recommendations to Green Adelaide’s authorised delegate. Technical advice is sought by identified staff to support decision making.

Recommendation

The Green Adelaide Landscape Board reviews the suggested recommendations for endorsement. The final recommendations are approved by Green Adelaide’s authorised delegate and then forwarded to the Minister for Environment and Water.

Notification

Once the Minister for Environment and Water has endorsed the recommendations, all applicants are notified of the outcomes.
