Coastal management

Reef ecosystems dashboard

We regularly monitor marine and coastal environments to gauge overall health, looking at factors like biodiversity and reef habitat quality. This data helps us assess the overall condition of these ecosystems over time.

Reefs support a rich diversity of marine life and provide essential habitat as part of our marine ecosystems. We conduct underwater reef surveys to evaluate their health. This helps us understand the local biodiversity, identify any disturbances or threats, and learn about interactions between marine species and their habitats.

Explore our dashboard on reef ecosystems health, including indicators such as fish and invertebrate biodiversity, size and habitat cover.

Marine debris dashboard

Marine debris, especially plastic, is a widespread problem affecting marine ecosystems.

We conduct marine debris surveys to learn about the types and quantities of marine debris impacting our coasts and seas over time.

Explore our dashboard to see assessments of marine debris and plastic pollution conducted at various sites.
